All road going motor vehicles in the UK are liable for a yearly MOT (Ministry of transport) Road worthiness test, once they are over three years old.
An MOT only determines the general road safetyness of a vehicle and is not an indicator of mechanical or aesthetic condition. It does however catalogue a vehicles mileage at test date and will list any reasons why a vehicle was refused a certificate in the past or if any points were made as advisory comments by the inspector upon issue of its certificate.
This information can be used as a helpful companion piece to a service/maintenance history and will further verify the vehicles mileage, ownership and overall maintenance
We aim to provide a complete VOSA history check with every car we inspect.
